TEXAS OUTRIGGER CANOE CLUB

Texas Outrigger Canoe Club

Fostering the Aloha spirit and outrigger canoe in Texas for over 30 years.

Welcome to Texas Outrigger

History of our Club

Carleton Kruse, Cheryl Cleland, and Karan Cleland co-founded Texas Outrigger Canoe Club (TOCC) in Surfside Beach, Texas in 1987. Over the years, the club moved a couple times and has settled to its current home in Clear Lake Shores, a Houston suburb on Galveston Bay. The club has fostered a fun and athletic ohana, and has sent crews to races from Hawaii to New York and everywhere in between.
